We had a family trip to the National Aquarium yesterday. It was great. Zach had lots of fun. He saw "Nemo" and touched a horseshoe crab and a sea snail. He really liked the new dolphin show too. Ryan loved looking at all the things around...although his favorite thing wasn't necessarily the fish. He did really well the whole day. We were there for a very long time, so this is quite a relief. He did have a few brief moments of uncertainty during the dolphin show when everyone clapped very loudly. He doesn't like applause very much. He used to scream in church when people clapped. He only did it 2 or 3 times and then I held him close and comforted him when I knew people were going to clap and he did great. It was a very good trip. I think our family needed a little fun time, just us and no responsibilities hanging over our heads like there can be at home. I think our aquarium passes were quite a good investment!
