He Never Ceases to Amaze Me
Remember how I was going to weigh Ryan yesterday? Well, we did it. I asked him to get on the scale. We waited for the numbers to come up. Ryan stepped off the scale saying 28[head shaking in amazement, Wha?!]. He read the number 28? Whoa. Unfortunately our scale doesn't always give the right read out the first time. The way I figure it(after another couple times on the scale) he is probably closer to 29 or 30 pounds.
Today when I put him down for his nap we did the usual songs in the rocking chair. Then a prayer in bed. I get up to walk out and say, "Love you. Sleep well. See you in the morning." I guess I slipped into bedtime mode instead of nap mode. He looked at me with his face all scrunched up and said, "That doesn't make sense." Sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself and sometimes your toddler helps you. ;-)

2 Month Appointment
Lily had her 2 month appointment yesterday. She weighed in at a healthy 12 lbs 2 oz. That's the 90th percentile for those who keep track. She is 22 inches long, that's closer to the 50th percentile. It's funny, but she doesn't look chubby to me. She is on the same track Ryan took- 90th percentile for weight and just above the 50th for height(at least for the first few months). At about month 6 Ryan dropped to the 75th percentile for weight and stayed around the 50th for height. I think he is 50 and 50 now. Maybe I'll weight him today and see.
Everything else about Lily's development checked out well. She even lifted her head 90 degrees, cooed and smiled for the doctor(or at least in the doctor's presence).
It's time to get ready for gy'nastics now.
