The Things Lily Does...

to get someone to get her from bed.

Some nights Lily does not want to go to sleep when we put her down for the night. We usually let her fuss or call for a few minutes before we would go check on her unless of course it sounds urgent. When we do go in we try not to have to pick her up to get her to calm down. That hardly ever works, but we go for the least intervention that we can until something works. Usually rocking in her room does the trick. Those are our strategies.

Now for Lily's strategies...

1) Call for Mommy
if that doesn't work
2) Call for Daddy
if Daddy isn't home or doesn't come
3) Call out, "I'm stuck!"

She pulled out her first strategy for getting out of her room last night. She took off her diaper and tinkled in the corner of the bed. Jay found her diaper when he was looking for her blanket in the dark. Good times.
